Ok I’m 13, and I’ve had glasses since Grade 4. I am near-sighted, as in, I can’t see stuff far away from me. My prescription is: 2.75 diopters of nearsightedness (-2.75) with -0.50 diopters of astigmatism. and an axis of 32 degrees in my right eye, and 2.25 diopters of nearsightedness (-2.25) with…im not sure how many diopters of astigmatism. and an axis of i don’t know how many degrees, there’s no number for it in my prescription. I don’t think anyone will undertsand this, I don’t really myself, that’s just my prescription, but just incase anyone knows what I mean and this helps.
Anyways, basically, I have slight astigmatism in my left eye, but i dont think that matters. Anyways, I used to not wear my glasses all the time, just to like copy stuff off the board. But since somewhere end of grade 5, beginning of grade 6, I started wearing them ALL the time, cause my eyesight got worst…and I still do.

There is absolutely no harm in getting wearing contacts. I got mine when i was in grade 9, so I’ve had them for almost 4 years and have never once regretted getting them. Yes your eyes will get dry at times but theres drops for that and its a small price to pay for perfect vision. They’re worth it! Since you have weak astigmatism, you might get by with normal contact lenses from any brand. I use Encore but that might only be a Canadian brand. The best brand for astigmatism and dry eyes is Acuvue Oasis but they’re the most expensive of course. Ask your optometrist they will tell you right away. And no one is going to think anything of it. You might hear some “What happened to your glasses” but nothing else. Would this many people wear them if they were bad?
Yes. the best next to lasik
Yes, I love my contacts i started wearing glasses and kindergarten and was a geek and i got contacts in 7th grade and i guess i was kool then, IDK, they honestly changed my life, i would suggest getting them and they are perfectly safe if you take care of them properly and do not sleep in them and if yours eyes feel dry take them out.
Today just about everyone can wear contact lenses, and there are more healthful and convenient contact lens options than ever before. Contact lenses are used to correct the same conditions that eyeglasses correct. For all details, information and remedies about contacts check out http://use-contactlens.blogspot.com/
