I have an astigmatism. Part of the problem is that you are used to seeing yourself in glasses. After I switched to contacts, I had trouble getting used to my appearance without glasses. Studying your face close up in a mirror and just adjusting to the slightly different look might help a lot.

The only thing that I can think of is that you might be so used to wearing glasses that you don't recognise yourself without them.
I get that sometimes too.
