Someone told me that when you have astigmatism and contacts when you blink it causes things to get off track and just the slightest turn of the contact you have to take them out then put them back in is that true??

Nope. I have astigmatism, and contacts. The contacts have “weights” to them – its like 3 little lines at the bottom of mine, that help keep the contact turned in that direction. If they get knocked out of place and are upside down or something, I can’t see very well, but a couple blinks will turn it back. No need to take them out and readjust that way. They do get off track, but it’s not a big deal. Just a little annoying.
No; in fact in order for contact lenses to work properly, they MUST turn in your eye. Therefore, it is important to carry re-wetting drops, in order to keep them properly lubricated. Otherwise they will stick in place, and your vision will become blurry over the space of a few hours as the lenses dry out. Oh, and by the way, it’s spelled “astigmatism” (no “U”). I have and astigmatism and I wear contacts, and several eye doctors have old me what I am telling you.
I wear astigmatism correcting contact lenses (toric) and the lens can rotate when you blink and then it returns to its normal position. The person who advised is partially correct, you do not have to insert the lens again if it rotates. Blinking should return the lens to the correct position.
Astigmatism contacts are weighted to stay at a certain orientation, so as long as you are properly fitted, nothing more than few blinks should “right” the lens if it becomes disoriented.
You don’t have to take them out- if the lenses are weighted you can blink to return them to their correct position on the eye.
no..just use those toric lenses..place it in and blink..it will auto roate back to give u the sharp image that u always wants.
