Can Someone Have A “dominant” Eye That Will Always See Better Even With Glasses?

I recently got a new eye exam and glasses and they have been giving me headaches. I noticed that my vision out of my right eye through my glasses is not as good as it is through my left. My left is perfectly fine, probably 20/20. My right eye vision is blurry at a distance.
My eye doctor told me that the prescription is correct and that it is because I am left eye dominant. Can this be case? I know I have astigmatism in my right eye so maybe that is causing it? I would just like to not get headaches wearing my eye glasses.

Sometime it is not possible to correct one eye as well as the other. This often has little to do with eye dominance. While it may not be possible to make your right eye see as well as your left, there should be a plan to eliminate your headaches.
If your vision is still blurry out of your right eye, then the prescription is obviously not correct. Ask your doctor if it’s possible to get a stronger lens for the right side of your glasses. Or better yet, wear contact lenses.
