    Yes, they can. My hubby wears them and loves it. They are a bit more expensive but he thinks well worth not wearing glasses.

    Sure can… I am proof of that. But, it can get bad enough that it will force you to use very expensive contacts…and eventually not be able to wear them at all.

    Yes. A weighted soft lens called Toric is one way of correcting vision.

    Absolutely! My husband has astigmatism and he wears contact lenses. You just have to wear toric lenses that fit the shape/curvature of you eye. The doctor will choose lenses for you that fit the curvature of your individual eye.

    What kind of lenses you need depends on how bad your astigmatism is. I wear contacts and I do have a mild astigmatism. I use Acuvue disposable lenses and have not had any problems with them at all.
    The type of lens you need is called a “toric” lens to correct the astigmatism. They come in gas permeable or soft. I prefer the soft if you can get it, but some people say that when you have an astigmatism, the gas permeable make what you are looking at appear crisper.
