my contact prescription is around +3.75. And I want colored contacts; plus I have an astigmatism, is it possible to get them? If so, how much?
P.s. I live is the u.s.

The medical terminology is Prescription Colored Contacts, and regarding the decision to add an element of fun, in the form of color to your contact lenses, that sounds great, what a fun idea, anyhow, , sure, many contact lens distributors and manufactures also offer most prescriptions in color, you just select what strength you need from the drop down menu when your ordering your lenses if ordering on the web , like here for example; http://www.1800contacts.com/lenses/color.htm?ac=1.1381&s_kwcid=TC-1516-11530372011-S-11921777011&OVRAW=colored%20contact%20lenses&OVKEY=colored%20contact%20lens&OVMTC=standard&OVADID=11921777011&OVKWID=11530372011
You can order glasses in all shapes and colors so why not be able to have various colored contacts, it’s the same concept, very nice.
As a side note, there are places charging up to 10 or 20 times for the same thing that you can get at discount contact lens suppliers. Most of the time if you walk into Sears or Walmart they will try to pull that, but you can find them much cheaper on the internet. And sometimes you will need a prescription from a licensed eye doctor to order on the web, occasionally they may ask that you fax over an authorization or simply supply them with the name and address of the eye doctor.
fresh look also has toric contact lenses. Those are about 80 a box and you will most likely need to buy 2 boxes one for each eye. You said your rx is +3.75 but what is your cyl and axis?? or you can call your dr and find out if color contacts are available for your rx….
oh btw fresh look in toric are only available in blue, gray, green, and hazel.
Acuvue has colors available in the prescription range you listed in spherical powers, if your astigmatism is not too high it may work. Otherwise, you are probably looking at a more customized rigid gas permeable lens, which start at around $300
Hello!
I have a stigmatism as well.. If you want colored contacts, go to Wal*Mart. they can special order some for you.
I do not know what your price range is or even if they will have your perscription. Since they are custom made, they cost more. Starting at $300 +
Good luck!!
