Getting Used To Glasses? Astigmatism?

I’ve had glasses since i was 10, and contacts since i was 12. Im 16 and my persciption is -6.25 and -5, so my eyes are terrible. I went to the eye doctor and was told I have an astigmatism. He then said that i could’nt wear contacts until it got better, and said that astigmatism contacts did’nt work on helping it. So I’m wearing glasses for the first time in years, and My perscption changed alot, plus the astigmatism stuff, and im like spaced out. Is there any way to make this better, Everything looks really blurry
You really misunderstood something somewhere.
Can’t wear contacts until your astigmatism gets better doesn’t make any sense…that can’t be what he said. Astigmatism doesn’t come and go like a stye.
Check with them again and find out what you can do for whatever the actual problem is. Although they probably told you when you were there also.
