How Do You Be In A Test Group For New Eye Products Like For Lenses Or Contacts?

Here is my dilemma. I have very bad vision. I have abut a -10 in my left eye, a -14 in my right eye, astigmatism in both and am colorblind. I just picked up my new contacts and my axis for the weight in my left contact seems to be off. I have to go back and get it checked again. I don’t have to have a weight in my right eye. Now I know I am not the only blind bat out there. I live in California. How do I find out how to be on trial groups for new lenses?
Most new lenses are not trialed in people with high prescriptions. You will need to find a contact lens research centre (maybe at a School of Optometry) or a contact lens manufacturer and ask them how to be enrolled in a trial.
