I’ve been searching everywhere. I need to buy contact lenses. My eyes hurt and I don’t have glasses. So I don’t understand what the doctor wrote. He wrote….
OD – 50 – 125×090
8.7
OS – 50 – 125×090
I’m also looking for Biofinity Toric?? These are for my astigmatism. Please help my decipher this prescription. When I go to the websites they ask for the power and a bunch of things that I can’t find from the prescription.

Right Eye: Sphere -.50 Cylinder -1.25 Axis 090 Base Curve 8.7
Left Eye: Sphere -.50 Cylinder -1.25 Axis 090 Base Curve 8.7
Both eyes are the same. Sphere=Power
right eye: -0.50(sphere), -1.25(CYL) / 90 Axis
left eye: – 0.50(sphere), -1.25(CYL) / 90 Axis
BASE CURVE: 8.7
NOTE: Contact lens prescription may NOT be the same as your spec prescribtion. Also dont buy spexs online since you dont know your PD(pupilary distance)
OS means your left eye, OD means your right eye.
There should be a number with the negative symbol beside it (i.e. -2.75) That would be your strength
