I have had the trial pair of contacts for almost 3 weeks now.
I Just got the actual prescription ones on Friday. It’s Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism.. I have no idea when to start using the prescribed ones.
It doesn’t say on the package either how long they last for.. Which is kind of irritating.
I would call my doctor but they wouldn’t answer.. Not open today?
Thanks in Advance

Most trial lenses only last for two weeks or so, so you’ve definitely got to stop wearing them. As for the Acuvue Oasys lenses, check their website and find the kind of lenses you use. They should tell you how long your contacts are supposed to last — that’s how I found out about mine.
You can wear a trial contacts for how ever long the true contact lenses (not trials) are supposed to last. Acuvue Oasys is a two week contact lens. This means you should have thrown them away one week ago. Other contacts, such as Air Optix or Proclear Compatibles are monthly lenses…which means the trials as well the “real” contacts last one month. Daily contacts such as Focus Dailies only last….you guessed it…one day. Please take out the lenses and throw them away. Open up a fresh pair and plan to throw those away in two weeks. Even if you only wear them occasionally, once you open each pack, you’ve got two weeks to use them.
Note: Most contact lens trials DO NOT last two weeks. Again, it depends on which lenses you were prescribed.
Two weeks. Toss them and start wearing your prescribed ones now.
