How Much Do Contact Lenses Cost Each Year?

im thinking about getting contacts this month or next month
how much do they usually cost for each eye every month or year. a diagram or a link would be good but knowledge is good too. i am thinking about daily disposables is acuvue a good brand? i have astigmatism thanks
Really depends on what brand you get. I used to wear Hydrogenetics and they cost about 25$ a box, with 6 in a box. I just had to change to Day & Night contacts which cost 75$ a box because I had astigmatism. Although the Day & Night are way more expensive they are made of silicon and you are able to sleep in them if you choose. They also last for 30 days instead of 2 weeks and are more breathable (which means they are healthier for your eyes). So to answer your question… they can be anywhere from about 25$ to 75$
Since contact lenses are FDA approved and regulated under the federal law. You have to have a valid exam to wear contacts. Also contact lens prescriptions are brand specific, which means you can only order the contacts the doctor has prescribed for you. Each and every contact type has a different price, depending on what it’s made out of, etc. If you have a valid contact lens exam let me know what brand you are in and there are several places I can recommend you too. If you do not have a contact lens prescription you will need to get that first, then once you are fitted and have a certain brand it will be easier to tell you how much it would cost for a year supply of contacts.
I have the acuvue oaysis and to me they are the best contacts ive had. one box cost me about $25. and that last 3 months. so about $100 per year. and they are really comfortable after you get used to them
I wear the acuview Oasis. I got 6 pair – which is 6 months for me for $76. So for me about $160 a year. Not bad !!
I just picked up a 6 months supply of contacts for $37 at Wal Mart eye center
