I Have Had A Black Floater In My Right Eye For About 1 Month Now. Is It Serious?

I was told that I have astigmatism about 6 months ago but don’t know if that causes floaters. The floater sometimes moves if i move my eye but not always. I have no pain or flashing lights in my eye so I had sort of ruled the possibility of a detached retina. Please help! Im getting a little worried about it because it has been going on for quite a while!!!

This sounds completely normal and is nothing to worry about. A floater is just bits of protein in the vitreous (jelly part of the eye). It casts a shadow on your retina and so can be seen in your vision. It is not related to astigmatism in any way at all.
The only time to worry is if you notice a sudden increase in the amount of floaters or start to see flashing lights or a shadow in your vision. These are signs of a retinal detachment.
You will gradually learn to ignore the floater and adapt to it,

I would go to the eye doctor if you can. You might have serious problems or you might have something in your eye.
I have heard of people having floaters when their eye was scratched. Not sure?? Go to the doctor.

I think everybody has eye floaters. I have a couple. You can never look directly at them (but sometimes you can). There is nothing wrong; it is perfectly normal.
