I Recently Go New Contact Lenses But When I Wear Them Everything Seems Too Bright ?

I even see the rays light emits and in the dark it feels like I need to squint even though I shouldn’t have to. My old contact lenses were for an astigmatism but the ones I currently use are not. My doctor said it was because the prescription change was very long over due I was a -3.5 before and now -5.25. Can the contacts be too strong?
It happened when I first got mine and don’t worry as the situation will go away. In the mean time if it does bother you that much get a pair of sun glasses and wear them but not all the time as you do have to adjust.
Yes, it’s possible the doctor is right and your eyes just aren’t used to the new prescription. When I got contacts, I remember everything being really really bright too vs. my glasses.
