I Want To Get Contacts, But I Have Astigmatism (don’t See As Sharply). What Is The Best Brand For Astignatism?

I have a lot of astignatism. I’ve worn toric lenses but I’ve gone back to rigid gas permeable lenes. They aren’t as comfortable as the soft lenses but my vision is sharper than with the toric lenses. Another plus is, although initially rpg lenses are more expensive, they last for years so really in the long run they’re more economical. Because of my astigmatism, I prefer the rpg’s and I don’t use the torics. Good luck. 2D

I used Bausch and Lomb, too, but go with your optometrist’s recommendation here.
Of course CL’s are a very personal thing, but I really have to rave about Bauch & Lomb’s Purevision toric lenses. They have a lot of technology that I don’t see in other CL’s (toric or not) that gave the best and clearest vision that I think is possible from soft contacts today. They are made from a thicker silicone hydrogel material that isn’t as thin or ultra comfortable as thinner lenses, but for the incredible vision and the healthy oxygen transmission of the silicone hydrogel material (sleeping in them is AOkay, and daily wear of 16+ hours is a breeze), I’ll take them hands down every time. My eyes acclimated in about and hour.
Check around, but with the “wavefront” inspired spherical aberration correction technology in the Purevision lenses, I really do think they have the clearest and sharpest vision available in soft contacts today; I just adore mine…
That is a question that really only your eye doctor should answer. When you go the specialist there will go through all of that with you, helping you with making the best decision. That person will know more about all of that than anyone on here (omitting the small chance that a person like that is on here). I hope it all works out for you.
Soflen toric and purevision toric
The brand that fits you best. There is no one brand that fits everyone best.
I use Bausch and Lomb PureVision® Toric lenses and like them a lot. Here’s a link to more info..

The best brand will be the one that works for you.
Only your Optometrist or Optician can answer that, after fitting you with trial lenses.
Sometimes 2 or 3 different brands have to be tried to find the one that works best for you.
Whatever brand works best for you. I work at a drs office and a lot of pts wear the b&l softlens66 toric and have a lot of luck. But just go to the dr and he will give you some to try
