It means that there is astigmatism present. That person may find that his glassses or contact lenses correct it prerfectly.
Cylindrical lens correction is for astigmatism. Take comfort in the fact that no eye is perfect. I have about a diopter of astigmatism, but it doesn’t bother my vision at all. A lot of people have more or less than me and see just fine with the proper and acceptable type of correction. Don’t worry.
