I’m About To Get Rigid Gas Permeable Contact Lenses, And I’m Wondering If It’s Okay To Play Tennis With Them?

I just had my eye exam almost exactly a week ago, and my optometrist recommended me rgp contact lenses for crisper vision, as I have bad astigmatism. I know the diameter of rgp contact is smaller than a soft contact, thus, will it be easier to… fall out of my eye in a sense?
I’m going to be playing tennis with them, and I can’t afford to lose a contact lens by it coming out of my eye.
Also, how long does it take generally to custom make rgp contact lenses? I have yet to get a call from my optometrist.

I wore Burnor lens for over 30 yrs, they are much smaller than the regular hard lens but I did all the usual things I generally did. However, it was very strange that I would lose one under the most unusual circumstances(I never could determine what it was that caused it to come out on its own)
I would suggest you either get a 2nd pair(and that should not be the same cost as the first) or insurance to cover loss.
You will find that there are times you can never be absolutely sure they will stay in.
These are really great questionsk, but they are ones you need to ask your doctor. They are the person examining you and prescribing the specific lens. There are many different rgp’s out there and they all have different turn around times and different attributes. I have no idea what you would be getting.
