Astigmatism is not a disease.
There are contact lenses specifically designed for people with astigmatism.
And yes, you can wear two different kinds of contact lenses – even two different brands, one designed for each eye.
Astigmatism just refers to the shape of your eye (it is more like a football than a ball).
Many people has astigmatism and live normal lives.
Go to a reputable Optometrist for a contact lens fitting – always!
Wearing a lens that is made for correcting astigmatism , on an eye that doesn’t have astigmatism means it will be the wrong prescription.
