some ppl have bad results others think it’s great.
it’s a risk that most ppl are not willing to take.
glasses and contacts would probably be your best bet.
you can always and should get a second opinion.

If you are a pilot or a surgeon, it’s really bad, as you may lose your job. In our local hospital system (15 hospitals) surgeons will no longer be allowed to perform surgery if they get lasik. Even if the lasik worked, the dry eye can cause momentary blindness and doing delicate surgery just doesn’t work with that.
While many people have had successful lasik eye surgery, there is a fairly large number of people who have had complications. The most common is dry eye followed by haloes (everything is haloed). I have also heard several fellow scrapbookers, who had lasik several years ago, complain still about light sensitivity. If you can see, I wouldn’t take a risk. Glasses are much safer, followed by contacts.

There are certain restrictions to having Lasik surgery. It is not a good option for many people. For example, people with diabetes may not get laser eye surgery.
I recently visited a Lasik center and I was preliminarily deemed a good subject for the surgery. I am going back October 25 for a pre-op screening. I still may be rejected after this next screening.
I would ask your eye doctor the specific reason Lasik surgery is not an option for you. He/She should be able to provide you with a detailed explanation.

As with any surgery, there are risks. With lasik surgery, there is a very small percentage of people whose eyesight worsens instead of improves. Maybe your conditions would put you in the risky category.
It’s better to wear glasses than to be blind. I opted for glasses over lasik because I don’t want to risk losing my sight, however small that risk is.

Yes- lots of horrible and permanent complications can result from LASIK, you may not get the results you want and even if you do they will not be permanent and you’ll still need to use glasses. LASIK is dangerous, might have unknown long term effects and it is a complete waste of money.

lasik eye surgery is not bad for you, but having a stugmatism or lazy eye can make the process more painful
