My Vision With My Contacts Gets Blurry After An Hour Or So, Why?

After my vision gets blurry with the contacts and I take them out and use my glasses, my vision is fine. I have astigmatism with nearsightedness being more of a problem than farsightedness. I’ve tried several soft toric lenses and still continue to have problems up close. I tried hard lenses years ago and just couldn’t used to them, I have small eyes. I’ve read about SynergEyes and wonder if they may be the solution for me and if I should be concerned about oxygen to my eyes and the actual size of the lens. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d appreciate it.

You need new contacts.
Contacts work 100 times better than glasses only when you get used to them in contacts, the field of vision is greater. regarding your problem, I think your lenses just dry up and when klenses dry up they turn into hard glass so obviously your vision gets blurred. You just have to carry around drops.
you probably have an astigmatism. That means your eye is shaped differently than the contact lense, and you require special contacts for that. I have the same issue.
There are so many things that could add to the problem of blurriness.
You need to see your Opthamologist and make sure they have your complete medical history.
They are professionals.
I have a similar situation. Do you have allergies? Try using rewetting drops more often to clear your lenses.
Do your eyes get dry? Maybe carry around drops or get the hydroclear lenses..
Your eyes might be dry. Try “Blink”
- Well, it may be the result of dry contact lenses. If so, purchase a rewetting eye drop made specifically for contacts.
- Blurness of contacts may also indicate that the contacts are damaged chemically, so you can’t detect visible damage when take them out to check. These chemical damages are often caused by using eye drops which are not suitable for contacts. The cleaning effect of a common eye drop tends to wear off the surface of the lens, making it blurry, looking like it has been used for a long time. So get a rewetting eye drop made for contacts and if you must, wait for 4 hours after using a common eye drop before wearing your contacts.
- Change your contacts immediately and avoid from using eye drops which are not made specifically for contacts to avoid problem.
You need to check to make sure that they are not inside out and another suggestion is if you have out worn that pair thats in your eyes you need to open a new pair and use them. Try another trial pair from your eye care doctor and see what he thinks if the ones you have now are not working. Eyes are so delicate and you need to make sure you maintain a good routine as to not damage your eyes in the future. I have soft contact lenses acuve oasis with hydro clear which means that theres more moisture in the lenses. So not all lenses are for everyone since there are different brands for different eyes I would ask to try another brand from your doctor. These ones you have in now may not be working for you. Just go with your gut instinct if they dont feel right dont use them.
