I’ve been getting my contact lenses from this guy who has his office next to my optometrist, its pretty much like a lens crafters but only for contacts. I have astigmatism and doctors have made it sound severe.
I never took the time to look online for contact lenses but i just looked at the prices and they are way cheaper than what i paid. I wear Frequency 55 Toric contact lenses. They cost me like 600 dollars at the hospital but online it comes out to 160. I also looked up the Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism and the only difference i found between the Frequency 55 and the Acuvue contact lenses is that i think you change the acuvue a lot quicker.
Does anyone know why the contact guy would have chosen Frequency 55 as the company? Acuvue is half the price of Frequency 55 and I’m curious as to why there is a difference. Acuvue has great reviews. No dryness, no fog, no movement, and these all match the same experience i have had with Frequency 55.

Frequency 55 has an high water level of 55%.

The Acuvue Advance has 47%.
if you’re happy with Frequency 55, I’d stay with them.
but if you wanna try the Acuvues, go for it, you can ask for a free trial.
the only advantage i see over to the Frequency, its that the Acuvue is more preamble since its a Silicone Hydrogel lens.
who knows.. maybe it will be better?
good luck!
Your contact lens prescription includes brand. You will need a new prescription to get them. Acuvue Oasys is a silicon hydrogel lens so it gives your cornea more oxygen. Frequency 55 comes in 8.4 BC which fits tighter than just about any other lens out there. Some people that need that find other lenses move too much.
You got soooooo taken it’s hilarious.
I should start a contact lens store if there are suckers like you out there.
