Will I Be Able To Get Contacts Insted Of Glasses? ?

All my life ive had eye problems and ive always had glasses but someone told me they now have contacts for people with a astigmatism but that’s not all i have i have something called myopia also Would i be able to get contacts or not? (its the weekend i haven’t got to Speak to an eye doctor yet i plan on calling for an appointment to get my eyes re examed)

What Is Astigmatism? I Cannot See At Night And Use Reading Glasses From The Drugstore To Be Able To Read. I W

as told many years ago that I had this condition but it has gotten progressively worse in the last 5 years. I am not able to afford an eye doctor at this point and time so any response is appreciated.

How Is Astigmatism Different From Not Being Able To See Well?

There’s like some special contacts for people with astigmatism.
How is it difefrent than just not being able to see as sharply and clearly as you should?

I Have Astigmatism Of 150 And Short-sightedness Of 300+. Would Lasik Eye Surgery Be Able To ‘cure’ Both?

Yes…even I had astigmatism and short sight…and i use to wear specs ..tried contacts too…
i finally did my lasik in Jan….! it cured both!!

Will I Be Able To Find Contacts To Fit My Astigmatism?

I have astigmatism in my right eye, and my left eye is normal.
On my first visit, I got provision astigmatism contacts for my right eye I think, and those were comfortable, but they tended to move and cause my eye to be blurry sometimes.
On my 2nd visit, I got baush and lomb astigmatism contacts and they just move and don’t settle and hurt really bad in my eyes.
My left eye is fine with contacts.
Will I be able to find a contact to fit my astigmatism so that it is not painful and doesn’t move around too much?
I really want to stick with contacts
What will happen? Thank you very much.

Why Is My Daughter Able To See Part Of Her Contact Lens When She Looks At Something? 1st Time User… Help

Sorry, if I’m repeating myself. Thanks for the answers to my 1st question.
As my daughter is wearing her contact lens (she has astigmatism – like I do) she says that she can see a part of the contact lens when she views something. This isn’t right??? Is it? She mentioned it to the woman who was fitting her, but she dismissed it and said that my daughter 13 had to get used to it. Doesn’t sound right.
Also, when I went for my contacts. I had an opthamoligt (Dr.) look at my eyes and he wrote out a rx for glasses. He said that he doesn’t “fit” for contacts or rx for contacts. We’re in a large eye dr office where they do everything from surgery to the basics. Anyway, the woman never looked AT my eys before having me try on contacts. She looked at the RX for glasses and said because it listed the “axis” ? she was able to provide me with 2 trial pairs… I don’t think my eyes are corrected 20/20 with the contacts either. And this place is supposed to be extremely reputable. What am I doing wrong, and is it normal for my daughter to see her contact lens in her eye?

It Took Me Many Years To Find A Contact Lens That I Was Able To Wear Due To My Astigmatism. I Found A Lens?

that was extremely comfotable and very clear. I had moved to a new state and just saw a new OD today. She said my astigmatism was much steeper than that usually worn for these. At the end of the test she put in a trial pair, a bit stronger than my previous prescription but the same kind of lens and tested my vision. It was a perfect 20/20. She said however the lens did not fit my eye properly and moved too much. But I could see very sharp. She insisted I try a different lens, one I told her already I had tried 2 times previously and threw out the whole prescription as I couldn’t stand them. She again tested my eyes in these. I had to go 3 lines up from what I could read before and still couldn’t get all the letters. She insists these fit better, however my vision is blurry. Can I insist that she keep me in the same kind? She is saying she will not allow. Isn’t the point clearer vision? She agrees I see great in these. Whats the big deal?

Is My Astigmatism That Bad? And Am I Able To Wear Regular Contacts With This Prescription?

My right eye has astigmatism of -.75 cylinder 020 axis dia 14.5 Is my astigmatism good enough so I can wear normal contacts? I’ve tried torics and they’re extremely uncomfortable and sometimes they blur my vision. The normal contact in my left eye feels very comfortable though, there’s a small amount of astigmatism in my left eye but i’m able to wear normal contacts with ease. Can I do this with my right eye?

Would I Be Able To See Fine If One Eye Had Astigmatism And The Other Didn’t?

Just wondering. It would be very convenient for me if one eye had astigmatism and the other didn’t for surgical reasons. Would I still be able to see pretty good with one perfectly corrected eye and one with astigmatism?
