New Contacts–what Does It Mean If I See Shadows/clouds Around Signs And Lights At Night?

I have new contact lenses which seemed perfect in the eye doctor’s office (had no trouble reading the eye chart), but I’m having issues seeing with them out in the real world, especially at night. When I drive, street lights have a hazy cloud around them, and street signs (especially the reflective ones) seem to have shadows (almost like seeing double). And I notice the words on the sign are harder to read as well.
It’s a brand new pair, and a new prescription. Is the prescription power too strong/weak, is my astigmatism over/under corrected? I don’t understand why they seemed fine in the office though.

Can Astigmtism First Show Up Around Age 40? How Long Should I Try Out My New Glasses?

I recently got an eye exam from an opthalmologist and my prescription shows astigmatism in both eyes. I have never noticed blurriness or any warped vision previously, and my previous exams with other opticians (including one about 18 months ago) did not show astigmatism.
I got my new glasses today and feel a little like my right eye is looking through a fishbowl. It’s nothing horrible, but it’s a little weird.
Should I give the new glasses a few days? They don’t give me headaches, so that’s not an issue. They don’t make much of a difference in vision from the old glasses (other than astigmatism), but…they look a lot better than the old ones.

What Do The Numbers And Letters Around A Contact Lens Mean?

I can see numbers “1 2 3″ and a bunch of other letters on my contact lenses and I’m not sure if they’re indicating how I’m supposed to place them on my eyes. I have astigmatism. Help!

My Contact Rolls Around In One Of My Eyes. What Could Be The Problem?

I wear acuvue advanced contact lenses. I used to wear freshlook, but since i’ve changed to acuvue, i love them! They used to feel like..well nothing. but recently iv’e noticed that only one of the eyes (my right eye) is irritated when i wear the lenses. Its just a litle uncomfortable. I wear the same prescription in both eyes. What could this be? I remember my optometrist telling me i had slight astigmatism in one eye..i don’t remember which one though. What can I do to help it meanwhile? It gets kind of dry too. Thanks, 10 points for best answer!

My Number Is Around -9.00 In My Left Eye But I Have Astigmatism Of 1.25. Does That Mean Anything?

I have a high prescription of -9.00 but i have astigmatism so does that change my prescription. Also, is there any way I can keep my prescription from going any higher?
