Question About Eye Axis For Contacts?

My axis is 180 for both eyes, but they are an eyeglass prescription.
my contacts cylinder: -1.25 R -1.75 L ?axis?
I asked my doctor about my axis but he said it could be lower for contacts. I’m deciding whether to go for 170 or 180 for axis on the toric lenses.
I have astigmatism therefore I’m ordering toric lenses.
Thanks

I am already wearing monthly disposables but wonder if I need a special toric colour lens or if I could use ordinary ones. They are just for when I fancy a change of look, not for daily wear.
How To Tell If Toric Lens Has Wrong Axis?

I went to the eye doctor recently for a contact lens exam and got some B & L Soflens torics. They are ok except that my left contact lens doesn’t fully correct my astigmatism. My vision is kinda still blurry, but here’s the funny thing; if my contacts are feeling a bit dry and I use some rewetting drops, my left eye becomes as clear and as sharp as my right eye!!! however my right eye then gets blurry, just like my left eye. this lasts for about 2-3 minutes then my right eye gets sharp again while my left eye becomes blurry again. I would think it would be something to do with lens drying out, but that doesn’t explain why my right eye would have a temp blurriness and then return to its sharp, clear vision. also my left eye’s vision is a bit “slanted” when compared to my right eye. could the axis or power be incorrect?
Is The Cylinder And Axis For Glasses The Same As The Prescription For Contacts?

I understand that sometimes the power of the contacts can be slightly different from the rx of eyeglaseses. What about the cylinder and axis (astigmatism)? Should they be the same for both contacts and eyeglasses? thanks!

for contact lenses, does the “axis” mean how severe your astigmatism is or where it is located?
Astigmatism Contacts Prescription: Axis 002 = 20 Degrees?

I’m trying to order new contacts for astigm online. My contacts prescription states the axis is 002. On the contact lens order page, the choices for axis are labeled in degrees – from 10 degrees to 180. What does the 002 stand for on my prescription? thanks.
Toric Contact Lens: What If My Axis Is Different?

For cyl lenses, (-1.75), I have an axis of 135. However they only have 90 and 180 available…
Does it make a difference? And if not, which one should I get?
Another question is: If I only use contact lens in one eye (the other has astigmatism), will the other eye get worse? “lazy eye” kind of effect?
Do They Make Toric Lenses With Less Than -0.75 Cylinder Axis Prescription?

I have astigmatism in my right eye and need -0.25 on the cylinder axis. My optometrist told me that toric lenses with that amount of correction don’t exist, so he “best fit” me by adjusting the power of the contact lenses to compensate. The problem is that even with this “help” in the power, I still see fuzzy on detailed edges. Is this “doesn’t exist” thing true?
I Use Acuvue Advance For Astigmatism Lenses. I Can’t Match The Axis In The Prescription On Dailies?

When I searched on the internet it said that the axis was how much the lenses rotated while in the eye, and that the higher prescription the more blurred the vision is if the axis is wrong. The dailies only give axis options of 20 90 160 or 180. Can I use the axis of 20 for my prescribed 40 and 90 for my prescribed 110? When I searched for the lenses with my prescription I only get the option of buying the 2 weekly that I already buy from the opticians. I really only want them for emergencies.
