It Takes 20 Times Longer For My Eyes To Accomadote From Bright To Dim?

I guess it happened gradually for a period of a few years.
I have 0.5 nearsightedness on both eyes and astigmatism under 0.25.
Let’s say my age can’t be an issue.
When I look from a close distance at a colorful carpet stripes at some point the stripes start changing colors and shine and the whole thing resembles a LSD abuse.

I Recently Go New Contact Lenses But When I Wear Them Everything Seems Too Bright ?

I even see the rays light emits and in the dark it feels like I need to squint even though I shouldn’t have to. My old contact lenses were for an astigmatism but the ones I currently use are not. My doctor said it was because the prescription change was very long over due I was a -3.5 before and now -5.25. Can the contacts be too strong?
