I’m 13, and I’ve had glasses since I was 3 years old. I have very bad astigmatism. I’ve been changing up my look with new hair, clothes…but the glasses…the glasses gotta go. I want contacts. But I’m worried about having them. Is there any irritation? Do they move out of place? Do they make your eyes itchy? Are they hard to take care of? Please only answer if you wear/wore contacts =) thanks.

One Of My Eyes Seems To Drift’. It’s Not Lazy Eye, I Had It Checked By An Optometrist. What Could Cause This?

Filed under FAQ on advance for astigmatism
To clarify, I got worried I had lazy eye a few months ago because I saw a picture of myself where my right eye seemed slightly off from the other eye. Everyone has told me they’ve never noticed it when I talk in an everyday situation, except for one person who said she had noticed it once. After seeing the optometrist, I was told I do NOT have lazy eye because lazy eye is where one eye is undeveloped (which is not something I have). However, I was told I had a minor case of astigmatism, where my eyes are shaped slightly like footballs. All in all, I didn’t get glasses but I was able to pass my G1 driver’s eye exam without a problem so I think my eyes are ok in that regard. I don’t understand what could cause this. Could my eyes be tired (I spend a lot of time either reading because of homework or on the computer) or is it something else?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Why Does An Astigmatism Cause You To Rub Your Eyes?

yes – it sounds more like allergies. If it persist – you should go to your local eye doctor and tell them your symptoms such as any redness, itching, or discharge. There are some great otc allergy drops that you could try as well to see if it improves.
Zaditor or Optive is one of my favorites. Hope this helps!

It’s weird, something is wrong with my vision and the doctor can’t find anything. It’s hard to explain, but I have the impression of seeing through a pane of glass or a window.. like there is something in between my eyes and the world. It’s clear, but not quite.
What Is The Cause Of Recurrent Eye Pain?

Hi! Currently, I am nearsighted, has astigmatism, with a grade of
-100. I can see what’s in my PC monitor without glasses on. I had conjunctival concretions in my right eye that were not visible since they are covered by my eyelid. My opthalmologist was thinking it might’ve been the cause of my eye pains, so I had them removed after Thanksgiving. It was a minor operation lasting only 30-45 minutes.
I have been putting mild artificial tears for like 6mos. or less in my eyes to alleviate the eye pains before/after the operation and up to now. The pain is manageable but it bothers me since it’s on and off. It feels like something is stuck in my eyes. My eyes are not red even but clear. Is this serious or not? No sneers please. I would appreciate a helpful opinion. Any eye specialist in here in Answers?
I am posting this in case someone has a similar condition and he/she can look this up. Thanks.

I have eye strain once in a while, then headaches. I was told that I might have astigmatism. I believe so too. However, oftentimes I get headaches followed by nausea and vomitting. Just don’t know nausea and vomiting is a symptom too. Does anyone have nausea and vomit as a result of astigmatism?
