My regular contacts prescription:
(LEFT) BC 8.5 SPH -1.50 CYL -0.75 AX 170
(RIGHT) BC 8.5 SPH -0.50 CYL -1.25 AX 180
The colored contacts that I’m ordering:
Power (OD) -1.50 Power (OS) -0.50 CYL ???
The problem is that you can only put one CYL value, but I have two different CYLs.
The reason I want to order from this site is that there are not many options available online for toric colored contacts, and I don’t have to order like 3 pairs all at once (like when you’re ordering from eye doctor)
If I HAVE to, I WOULD order 2 pairs just so I have 2 for each eye, but that would cost double the money.. and i haven’t even tried it out yet.
So.. if for example I just put -0.75 for both eyes will it really blur the vision? Only thing I know is that CYL is for astigmatism.. well i don’t even know what that is lol..
Please do not say go to the eye doctor.. I’ve been to several doctors and glasses/contacts places and i dont think i want to pay like $400 all at once for like 3 pairs..

well the thing is since i am asian i wanna have prettier eyes, right.
so i got this pair of contacts that have black rings around them that make your eyes look bigger. but i didn’t want to wear glasses on top of those so i tried wearing my regular contacts first and putting the circled ones on top of them.
i’ve been doing this for almost two months? and so far my eyes dont hurt or anything. but sometimes the vision blurs a bit and it takes some time for the blur to go away and more often it never goes away. well i clean each one very carefully every night.. and yes they do wear out but it’s only my regular contacts that wear out and i change them every two weeks anyway so that doesn’t matter. well my point is is this going to seriously affect my eyes? is it gonna blind me or something close to blind?
i was looking for prescribed ones that have the effects i’m looking for but since i have astigmatism and my visions for each eye differ a lot it’s very hard/expensive to get them.
should i keep doing this……

I have astigmatism. My glasses have a big prism in them and I have to have a surgery to correct my astigmatism and then another surgery like lasik to get rid of all the problems. I am 17 and can’t do those surgeries for another few years because my eyes are still changing. I’m going to be in my school play and the teacher says that we can’t have glasses for performances. I have no contacts and if I take off my glasses, not only do I see blur, but I also see everything in double. What should I do? I really want to be in this show! Any way I can get contacts to at least not see double? Or to see less blur?

After my vision gets blurry with the contacts and I take them out and use my glasses, my vision is fine. I have astigmatism with nearsightedness being more of a problem than farsightedness. I’ve tried several soft toric lenses and still continue to have problems up close. I tried hard lenses years ago and just couldn’t used to them, I have small eyes. I’ve read about SynergEyes and wonder if they may be the solution for me and if I should be concerned about oxygen to my eyes and the actual size of the lens. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d appreciate it.

I went to the eye doctor today and I definately felt like my vision had gotten worse. Well I was right. When my doctor refracted( i think that is the word he used)my vision went from being -1.25 in my right and -1.00 in my left both with -.5 astigmatism to -1.75 in both eyes without astigmatism. At least that is what he told me and what the glasses perscription said. When I went over to the contacts people, I already wore contacts I have for about 4 years, they had me put my old ones on and said since I could still read the 20/20 line with those, i could read it but barely, they said they didn’t need to give me a stronger perscription. I know what I saw when I was with the doctor through the machine was clearer than that. So my question is why would they do this I mean .5 and .75 is enough to make a big difference right? Shouldn’t they have just given me the perscription my doctor wrote.Should I go back and have them fix it or am I just worrying over nothing? Thanks so much for your help
