My Contacts Are Really Blurry And I Can’t Drive At Night With Them In.?

They’re supposed to be the same prescription as my glasses, but I still feel like I need reading glasses or something. Sometimes it’s almost like the contact isn’t fully covering my eye, when I know it is and eye drops don’t really help. They’re Acuvue Oasys with hydraclear and I’ve been wearing them since June. Maybe I’m just not used to them yet, or maybe I dunno. Any ideas? Also note, that I’m farsighted and I do not have an astigmatism…

Toric And Astigmatism Contacts Just Drive Me Insane; Will Using A Stronger Power Of Normal Contacts Suffice?

I am planning a major trip this summer and I want to see… I have loved Acuvue Advance but my right eye isn’t seeing too well. My new doctor is trying to convince me to go to torics. I’ve tried aspheric and Acuvue for Astigmatism and didn’t yield much success vision wise. The Torics are driving me insane comfort wise, and I’m sick of my doctor disregarding my concerns and simply tweaking the power of the lens. I’m not a doctor, so I need some help… Will using a standard contact with a higher power (such as Acuvue Advance, the one brand that seems to feel comfortable) help my vision? Any optician-insight I can use to explain to my doctor without sounding stupid? Because right now, I can’t see that great with the Torics, and as we speak, I’m dealing with a red, stinging eye after only 8 hours of use. Basically—is there a way around Torics? If not, any suggestions on how to reason with my doctor? I’m sick of not being able to see, but being uncomfortable is just ridiculous.
