Do I Have To Go Back To The Doctor Every Time I Try New Contacts ?

So, i just got my contact lenses from my family eye doctor …
i think i did pretty good considering putting them on and off ,
plus i’ve read almost EVERY info. i could find on the internet about taking care of lenses etc …
my doctor gave me a 2 week free trial of Air-Optic for Astigmatism.
i dont really like them … maybe is just im not use to wearing contacts
BUT anyway ~ i would like to try some other brands and some colored contacts such as Acuvue, GEO, FreshLook, etc etc .
although my parents said ive to go to the doctor’s office to re-fit them when ever i try on new lenses … im not sure if they are right or what so ever,cuz i thought as long as you have your right prescription and stuff you could juz order them off on-line or in store as long as its legit ?
also another question can i just wear soft lenses instead of those special Astigmatism ?? and what’s your favorite brand ??

Once You Have A Floater In Your Eye Is It There All Day Every Day?

I am myopic, pretty strong rx, my left eye (the one with the floater) also has an astigmatism. Can I do anything about this? Do I need a doctor? My husband says I should calm down as I am 42 and it is just middle age. He says he’s had them constantly for 15 years (he’s 54) and they are there 24/7 and you get used to it. Is this what happens to most people? Are they always there, 24/7 like he says? How do you get used to that? Could there be a connection between that and my myopia/astigmatism?
