How Bad Are The Halos You Can Get From Lasik?

I have large pupils so I think if I got lasik there is a chance I would get the halos. Also I have astigmatism of something like 2.75ish. I wear progressives, which cause me to see double vision at night because of the distortion in the peripheral vision so would it really be that much worse if I got lasik and saw halos at night? Are the halos that you get unbearable? I know that for a lot of people they go away with time but my eyes are terrible, contact lens don’t work for me because of my high astigmatism, etc. so I have a feeling I would be one of the unlucky ones to be stuck with halos permanently…

Just Had Pupillary Distance Measure And Different From Before?

I just had my pupillary distance measured today and it was 33 by 32, however just a week earlier I had it measured and it was 34 by 33… the optician said all my previous measurements for as long as I was wearing glasses was always 34 by 33…
How come it came out to 33 by 32 today (she checked it like 5 times)… I have been pretty stressed lately which I heard could dialate your pupils… would that affect the reading?
its 2mm off from what it always was, i’m thinking of going back tomm morning to recheck. My perscription is -2.25 on both eyes (no astigmatism), will 2mm make a difference?

How Common Is It For People To Suffer From Astigmatisms?

Hi all,
Just had an eye test and found out I have Astigmatisms of
-0.50 in my dominant eye and -0.25 in my other but I don’t wear glasses or contacts.
I didn’t think I had any problems with my eyes as have never had any problems with my vision.
Anyone know how common it is for people to have this level of Astigmatism? I ask because i’m trying to join the Navy as a pilot and want to know if this is going to be a problem.

Contacts Uncomfortable From Astigmatism ?

Ok well my doctor told me I had a slight astigmatism in my right eye, but it shouldnt affect my wearing contacts, he said I didn’t need special ones for astigmatism because my astigmatism was so slight or small.
Anyways, since I’ve gotten my contacts the left eye feels fine. I put them in right, clean them off, moisturize when dry with drops. But no matter what I do the right one always feels “funny” when I blink and open my eyes again it gets blurry, but only slightly blurry. And I can feel it all the time its SO uncomfortable even though I have the most expensive, most moisturizing lenses. The left one feels just fine! Is this my astigmatism causing this?

It Takes 20 Times Longer For My Eyes To Accomadote From Bright To Dim?

I guess it happened gradually for a period of a few years.
I have 0.5 nearsightedness on both eyes and astigmatism under 0.25.
Let’s say my age can’t be an issue.
When I look from a close distance at a colorful carpet stripes at some point the stripes start changing colors and shine and the whole thing resembles a LSD abuse.

I would be 26 next month and had specs from last 2 yrs. Continously using specs from probably 1 yr.
was trying for toric contacts and tried
1.accuvue advance for astigmatism(rotating and not convenient too big for my eye it seems)
2.vertex toric
3.soflens66 toric
4.biomedics toric
and now 5.purevision torics( BC 8.7 Dia 14.0mm)
the problem is when I focus on the objects, I feel blurred for a sec and again the vision comes back but its happening very frequently.
