How Bad Are The Halos You Can Get From Lasik?

I have large pupils so I think if I got lasik there is a chance I would get the halos. Also I have astigmatism of something like 2.75ish. I wear progressives, which cause me to see double vision at night because of the distortion in the peripheral vision so would it really be that much worse if I got lasik and saw halos at night? Are the halos that you get unbearable? I know that for a lot of people they go away with time but my eyes are terrible, contact lens don’t work for me because of my high astigmatism, etc. so I have a feeling I would be one of the unlucky ones to be stuck with halos permanently…
Halos, Star Bursts, Glare…astigmatism?

I see Halos around lights at night. I can see star bursts at anytime of the day (reflections off of cars, headlights, etc..), but they are much more noticable at night. I recently found out that I had an astigmatism in my left eye, and should be picking up my glasses this week. They put a “anti-glare” coating on them for me which I was told should reduce these visual problems. Does anyone else have glasses that reduce these effects? Can an Astigmatism cause them?
Seeing Halo’s And Starbursts — Long Term? 30yr Old.?

For the past 2yrs I have been seeing Halo’s and Starbursts around lights.. whether it be a street light, or car headlight.. or even the little light on my cable box. They didn’t used to be there… I have other anomolies such as patterns seem to move (persian rug patterns) or shutters with sunlight on them from a distance. (More of a rolling pattern.. without sunlight beaming on them they seem fine).
I am 30yrs old, and have been to the optometrist recently and had a report of visual acuity of 20/15 — perfect visual field test. — And a slight astigmatism of .25 diopters.
From my understanding the .25 astig is the least amount possible and is quite common, and really not enough for correction. To note: She tried various lenses and prisms in the machine but nothing corrected any of these things.
Anyone care to suggest what might be going on?
It was a dilated exam and the eye appears to be healthy. What is being missed here?
Thanks!
Contact Lens, Astigmatism, And Halos And Double Vision!?

I can no longer wear contacts because my astigmatism is close to 3. I know they make torics, but I have tried many many brands of torics and none work. No matter what I try I always see double vision and halos indoors. It drives me insane. Does anyone else have this problem? If there is no solution I guess I will just stick with glasses but it would be wonderful to hear from others that have this problem. My doctors are getting sick of me going and complaining about the double vision and halos. They have given me a lot of trials of different brands and nothing is working. I guess rimless glasses FTW…
