Im 13 And Just Got Contacts And Cant Get Them In!?

So i went to the eye doctors and got fitted for contacts, or whatever they call it.
so they made me go through a little how-to course. When it came time to put the contacts in, i got pretty excited. i wasn’t expecting to get them in on my first try… but in the hour i was there, i couldn’t get them in at all. i couldn’t even get one in. my eye started turning red and every time i put my finger near my eye i would blink and the contact would fold up. i just COULDN’T get it onto my eye no matter how many times i tried. i have a small amount of astigmatism (sp?) in my right eye, but the doctor said that i didnt need special contacts for that. could it be the reason i couldn’t get the contact in?
what was your first attempt at contacts like?
im scared ill never be able to put them in. i left the office crying because i was just so determined to get it in.
please share some advice/knowledge?

Just Got Contacts 4 Days Ago…. Are They Supposed To Move So Much?

Theyre just a trial pair right now but they move so much. I have astigmatism so im not sure if that contributes. Also arent the contacts supposed to be the size of the colored part of ur eye? These ones are so much bigger… And i dont see as clearly as i did with glasses

Help! I Just Got Contacts, But Things Are Still Blurry?

I just got contacts about a week ago and my vision is clearer than without them, but sometimes I feel like things are uneven or my vision goes blurry when I blink. I have astigmatism in my right eye, but I thought wearing contacts (toric kinds for the right) would keep this from happening? Do I need a stronger prescription or something?

I’m Having Serious Eye Problems. Just Went To The Eye Doctor!?

I’m 17 years old, I just went to the eye doctor a few weeks ago, and they found minor astigmatism in my left eye, and gave me really minor prescription glasses. everything was fine after that.
two nights ago, I had a serious panic attack from stress–I was dizzy for hours and needed to be in a dark room for the rest of the night. when i woke up yesterday, everything was blurry. It even seems like the glasses make long distance vision WORSE! I have no problem reading up close, but seeing anything from about 10 feet or further is almost impossible!
I don’t understand how this could have happened overnight, and the panic attack may be completely irrelavent, but it’s all so weird. I haven’t worn the glasses since yesterday. I was hoping that when I woke up today it would be gone but it wasn’t!
I should also mention that I am diabetic, because that can affect vision over time but my blood sugars are good, and nothing like that should happen overnight like it did! help please!

I Just Gotten A Pair Of Trial Contacts And I Have Astigmatism…???

i never knew i had it but i think the trials helped astigmatism. the brand is purevision i think. so after many tries i finally got them in, they were all moist and cleaned and everything so i knew that after a few minutes or whatever they would settle down and not be so irratible. so i had them in for like about 5 or 6 hours but they were uncomfortable. they’d go from clear to blurry to clear again and everytime i moved my eyes i can feel them and everything. my eyes were also like dry and no matter how much of that solution thing i would put in my eye, it would always help for a minute or two and go back to how it was. is this normal and do i still have to get used to them??? like in a week or two, should i not feel it anymore??? are they too big or something because i was going to call the doctor again but i just wanted to see if is deal-able-with. by the way im 14 going on 15. thanx.

Just Had Pupillary Distance Measure And Different From Before?

I just had my pupillary distance measured today and it was 33 by 32, however just a week earlier I had it measured and it was 34 by 33… the optician said all my previous measurements for as long as I was wearing glasses was always 34 by 33…
How come it came out to 33 by 32 today (she checked it like 5 times)… I have been pretty stressed lately which I heard could dialate your pupils… would that affect the reading?
its 2mm off from what it always was, i’m thinking of going back tomm morning to recheck. My perscription is -2.25 on both eyes (no astigmatism), will 2mm make a difference?

Can I Ignore The The “cylinder/astigmatism” If I’m Buying Contact Lenses For Just 8 Days?

I need contacts for work for 8 days in less than 2 weeks. My cylinder/astigmatism prescription for the left eye is -375, which would need custom made lenses. However in case they won’t arrive on time, would any store allow me to order lenses ignoring the cylinder?
btw, my left eye’s bad at birth so other than 3D perception purposes my left eye almost doesn’t contribute to my vision at all. Also remember this is only for 8 days.
