Contact Lense Fitting & Lens Prices. High Pressure Sales Tactics Too, Should I Go Somewhere Else?

Ive worn contacts before. This was a new office. They did not let me wear my old brand and charged me $95 for a fitting session after my eye exam which took mere moments since I needed no assistantance. The lady then tried to get me to purchase 1 year on the spot for $350 which seems outrageous to me, then tried to talk me into purchasing Gucci sunglasses(I had no interest in sunglasses). I said Id wait a week to see how the contacts feel. I asked why she chose the brand she did she said its cause they’re inexpensive & its the only brand they keep in stock.
Well they feel HORRIBLE already, its only been 2 days. They feel dry and grungy, I have to keep cleaning them throughout the day. They are coopervision contacts but im not sure which kind. Im glad I did not buy 1 years worth. Will I be charged (AGAIN) for a refit into another brand? And are they charging to much for their contacts in general (no abnormalities, no astigmatism, script is only -2.25) Should I go somewhere else?

My eyes have a bit of astigmatism, and want some color contact. But, they are super expensive.
I’ve search for a month and luckily I found one kind of color contacts that is pretty and it’s price is ok.
Now the problem is it only have BC 8.6 and BC 8.4, my eyes are 8.7
I was wondering, is a slight different (0.1) in BC will be a ok?

Why Can’t I Get A Contact Lens To Correct My Small Astigmatism?

I got fitted for contact lenses about 6 months ago, but I find that my vision is constantly slightly blurry when I wear my contacts. (Also, every now and then my vision gets really blurry for about 30 seconds, but that is not really my problem). I get a lot of eyestrain and headaches, so having constantly blurry vision is not good for me. I am worried that I won’t be able to continue wearing contacts.
My eyeglasses prescription is
OD (RIGHT)………………….OS (LEFT)
SPH +1……………….. +1
CYL – 0.25……………….. – 0.5
AXI 125……………….. 60
ADD 0……………….. 0
PD…………… 58
My contact lens prescription is
OD (Right)………………..OS (Left)
SPH +.75……………….. +1
CYL nil……………….. – 0.75
AXI nil……………….. 70
BC 8.4……………….. 8.6
DIA 14.0……………….. 14.5
The astigmatism is worse in my left eye, and I am left eye dominant. My optometrist said that the astigmatism in my right eye is too small to be corrected by contact lenses (she said the ‘market’ for them was too small for companies to bother making contact lenses for that size). She tried to balance off the effects of my right eye astigmatism by distorting the ‘true’ contact lens prescription for my left eye.
The results of this are far from perfect. I cannot even wear my contact lenses because I get so much eyestrain and constant blurriness.
From what my optometrist said it sounds like all my contact lens problems would be solved if only my right eye was worst – if only the astigmatism was severe enough to be correctable with contact lenses. My glasses prescription is perfect for me, but not my contact lens prescription.
What other contact lens options do I have? I am using Acuvue Oasys lenses (Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism in my left eye only). I have heard that RPG lenses give better clarity of vision. Is that an option for me? Is it possible for me to buy contact lenses from other companies that are perfect for my right eye astigmatism?
From google-searching it sounds like I have an “oblique astigmatism” which means my astigmatism, although quite low, has a greater-than-normal effect on my vision. It also means that when I blink my contact lens shifts more than for most contact-wearers, and I get very blurry vision for several seconds.
Thanks so much for any advice ;)

1 Year Supply Of Contact Lens For About 100 Dollars?

My cousin said he got a good deal for contacts lense…he got a year supply of contacts for only 100 something. He doesn’t remember where he got them.
I recently got an eye exam and a prescription for contact lense. The brand I’m looking for is Air Optix Toric. It’s for Astigmatism so it cost alot more. Everywhere I go, its about $65 a box w/6 contacts . Thats way too much. Does anyone know where I can go to find a cheaper price or get the same deal my cousin did?

If My Contact Lens Prescription Is Almost The Same, Would My Glasses Prescription Have Changed?

My glasses prescription last year was -4.25 and -4.00 with moderate astigmatism in both eyes.
And my contact lens prescription last year was -4.25 and -4.25
This year my contact lens prescription has not changed. Does that mean my glasses prescription has not changed either? Also this is the first time it hasn’t changed. Does this mean my vision is finally stabalising? I’m 24, had glasses since I was 6/7.

Would This Contact Lens Prescription Be Expensive?

I only have the eyeglass prescription though which is:
sp +.75 cylinder -.50 and axis 90 (for both eyes)
My optometrist recommended glasses to me, not contacts because contacts with farsightedness and my astigmatisms are only 80% effective (compared to 95% effective with glasses). He also said it the contacts would be complicated to get right.
Anyway, if I were to get contacts someday, would it be pretty expensive due to this complicated Rx? Does anyone know around how much? Our vision insurance is not that great, so it would be an out-of-pocket expense.
