Help! I Made A Very Silly Mistake With My Contacts! Scared?!?

Okay, today i opened my contacts. I opened a Right box, but distracted by company i was in a rush and opened the OTHER right sitting in the box, instead of my left. My left and right are different powers.
Left: 3.50
Right: 3.75
BUT because my left eye has astigmatism, my optometrist pushed up the powers of my lens to:
Left: 3.75
Right: 4.00
She pushed up the powers because the astigmatism in my left eye isn’t bad so could get away with wearing normal coloured contacts (sorry i should have stated that. it’s hard to find coloured contacts that come with astigmastism).
So i went about my business wearing 4.00 in my left and 4.00 in my right. I couldn’t feel the difference but i don’t think it’ll be good in the long run… unless someone professional tells me it’s fine?!
What should i do?
If i open a left and throw away the other right i’ll be left with a useless left contact. If i continue with this for a month and the next month, open a PROPER pair, i’ll be left with 2 useless lefts. But i might be able to get 2 rights of 4.00. If i can?
Please help me! I don’t want these contacts to go to waste!
Ihave Astigmatism, Can I Wear Contacts Not Made For Astigmatism?

It really depends on the severity of your astigmatism. Sometimes when you have a mild correction for it, your doctor will prescribe what they call a “sphere equivalent” lens, which basically means that your eyeglass Rx will have your astigmatism in it, and your contact lens Rx will be a little bit higher in correction to over compensate for your astigmatism. Ex: Rt Eye Rx -2.00 -1.50 x 180 for your eyeglasses, Rt Eye Rx -2.75 for your contacts. Some people do not see a difference between sphere equivalent lenses vs. toicity lenses when the astigmatism is mild. If you’re a higher correction, you could physically wear sperical lenses but, you will see much crisper with a toric lens. My astigmatism is slight to moderate. I’ve worn both and toric lenses are much sharper for me. They are a little more expensive, but this is your vision we’re talking about. I’m a contact lens fitter, but without knowing your actual Rx I couldn’t tell you if they will work or not. Consult your eye doctor for more info.

I’m going to Lenscrafter’s for a contact fitting. Last time I went there with a perscription for glasses, I got them two hours later. So how long do you think it would take for the contacts to arrive? I have astigmatism, if that gives a clue as to how long it would take.

Some people have trouble with toric contacts (for astigmatism). They have to sit a certain way on your eye and if they rotate at all, it can make things pretty blurry. The lenses have something that’s kind of like a weight on the bottom so that they sit straight on your eye. There are a couple of different designs, so if one doesn’t work for you, your eye doctor may try another.

Is There Colored Eye Contacts Made For Astigmatism?

Well i bought some colored eye contacts and then as time went on, i noticed that when i’d look at people, people would notice that my contact would make my eye look lazy. The contact would slowly rollover my eye and i think it has something to do with my eyes being dry. It kinda sucks because i spent so much money on these contacts only to realize that instead of making my eyes look good in a different way, they are freaking people out. And eye drops don’t necessarily work so well.
