What Other Contacts Are There For A Difficult Astigmatism? Tried So Many. Do I Have Other Options?

I wore gas perms for 10 years but am now no longer able to wear them because I have developed very dry eyes. I have been trying soft toric lenses for months changing prescripton and brand and nothing is working. I have a very strong prescription about -6.00 and my astigmatism is wierd in one eye, axis 50. I have tried oasys, they would hang too low. Purevision and Softlens are too dry and sticky. Air optics burn my eyes and my vision is unclear. Pro Clear was uncomfortable. Anybody have any ideas? I have been trying trials for 4 months now. I don’t want to wear my coke bottle glasses. I’m very glad that my doc is trying so hard for me but I am thinking he is about to tell me there aren’t any there options. Help.

We had exams and photos of eyes taken (the blue light) which included an eye solution that blurred vision for rest of the afternoon for one of us (too much)? Astigmatism in two of us… Eyesight more blurry ever since for all of us.

Many Issues With Acuvue Contacts?

I ordered Acuvue Clear lenses and they’re really annoying me. When I first put them on, everything goes really blurry and then when I move my eyes around, the lenses don’t follow! I don’t think I have astigmatism.
Once, they were hurting so badly that it caused a HEADACHE. The center of whatever I was looking at was extremely sharp but everything around it was extremely blurry. Then my eyes got HORRIBLY dry even after putting in eye drops! It got so bad that I had to take them out in the middle of school!
And, I find it really hard to take them out! It doesn’t seem to budge when I try to slide it out of my eye..they’re like suction cups. After I got them out with A LOT of irritation, the sides of the lenses CURL UP as I disinfect them! Is this supposed to happen?!?
Why does that happen to me when I wear them? (The blurriness and the failure to follow my eyes)
P.S. I am a regular wearer of contact lenses..this is just my first time with Acuvue >:(

Why Aren’t There As Many Different Colored Contacts For People With Astigmatism?

People without astigmatism have a wide variety of colored contacts to choose from while people with astigmatism have only a few. If anyone knows of a brand that offers colored contacts for astigmatism and sells a wide variety could you please let me know? and also can someone explain why there is less variety for people with astigmatism?

It Took Me Many Years To Find A Contact Lens That I Was Able To Wear Due To My Astigmatism. I Found A Lens?

that was extremely comfotable and very clear. I had moved to a new state and just saw a new OD today. She said my astigmatism was much steeper than that usually worn for these. At the end of the test she put in a trial pair, a bit stronger than my previous prescription but the same kind of lens and tested my vision. It was a perfect 20/20. She said however the lens did not fit my eye properly and moved too much. But I could see very sharp. She insisted I try a different lens, one I told her already I had tried 2 times previously and threw out the whole prescription as I couldn’t stand them. She again tested my eyes in these. I had to go 3 lines up from what I could read before and still couldn’t get all the letters. She insists these fit better, however my vision is blurry. Can I insist that she keep me in the same kind? She is saying she will not allow. Isn’t the point clearer vision? She agrees I see great in these. Whats the big deal?
