I Have A Mild Prescription, Do I Need To Wear Glasses?

Hi,
Ive just got an eye test. Result was sph -0.5 for each eye and slight astigmatism in one of the eyes (i forgot which one). The optometrist was going to give me prescription glasses (to help driving at night) but i thought that i did not need one. They usually jack up the price anyway. So, the question was do i need glasses?

Mild Astigmatism?

So, I went to my optometrist today and he said I have mild astigmatism in my left eye. However, when I said I wanted to wear contacts, he just gave me the Oasis Acuvue kind (I also have dry eyes). Does that mean my astigmatism doesn’t really need to be corrected or something? Also, I noticed that my eyes have the same prescription now when it comes to contacts; I looked at the prescription and it said -4.25 for my right eye and -4.75 for my left eye but then next to it, it said +0.50. Does this mean my astigmatism just made my left eye prescription equal to my right? That kind of confused me..

I am a professional who uses the computer a lot, 37 inches away from screen.
I read a LOT.
I also teach and train a lot.
I have -10.50 in one eye, -7.50 in the other with astigmatism and new reading need of +1.25 in one eye and +2.00 in the other.
my optician suggests a Pentax short channel lens.

So, I Found Out Today That I Have Mild Astigmatism?

But, my doctor said that it was mild enough were I can still wear normal contacts. Does astigmatism progressively get worse over time? And is there any way I could prevent it from getting worse?

I Have Mild Astigmatism And Slight Near Sightedness Toric Lenses?

Im only twelve and i was wondering if i can wear contacts i have mild astigmatism and slight nearsightedness are toric lenses comforable or can i even wear contacts?

I am almost 14 and today the eye doctor said I had a slight astigmatism. He said not to worry about it, but will I eventually need glasses? He said something about straining my eyes to read computer screens and texts on my phone. I am constantly on the computer and texting. So glasses? No glasses?

I have -0,50 and -0,25. Is this considered mild? I was shopping for toric contacts lenses and saw that I can’t buy them for my cylinder (I can buy for higher). Does this mean I can use regular/non toric lenses? Which can I use? Thanks

Which Contact Lense For Mild Astigmatism??

My optometrist tried a few brands amd I’m still not comfortable.Herre’s my prescription in Acuvue advance for astigmatism: OD D:-1.25 cyl:-1.25 axis 010
OS D:-2.00 cyl -1.25 axis 160
I don’t wear contacts on a regular basis but like having the option.
Any suggestions?
We tried focus toric monthly, frequency 55 toric and the acuvue is the best but still not that comfortable in terms of feeling them in my eyes not in term of vision. I did try to get use to them by wearing them a little longer every day but it doesn’t work.
