Should I Consider Lasik To Eliminate Nearsightedness?

I am 18 years old and I suffer from myopia (nearsightedness) -5.5 for the left eye, -6 for the right eye and I have astigmatism too. My eyesight has not worsen for 2 years and I have not changed the prescription of my glasses since then.
Is it OK to get LASIK? Should I delay? Cos I don’t want my eyesight to go back the way it was if I get LASIK.

okay so i have nearsightedness and astigmatism. my nearsightedness was progressing kinda fast so my doc put me on bifocal contacts to slow it down. the only problem is my astigmatism. at first it didnt bother me. but now in school and stuff and on the road its kinda hard to see stuff and i still strain even with contacts on. my mom took me to the doc to find a solution but that was when my astigmatism wasnt as bad so my doc sed jus dont mind it. he also said that bifocal toric contacts are sooo costly and inconvenient. im only 13. underage for lasik so dont say get lasik. only serious answers please

Best Eyeglass Lenses For Severe Nearsightedness And Slight Astigmatism?

I have severe nearsightedness and a slight astigmatism.
It is -6.75, -0.25. Since my vision got below -4.00 (years ago), I have not been able to find a pair of eyeglasses that I can see out of as well as I can contacts. They tend to make me nauseated.
Does anybody have any information on which type of lenses would work best for me? I would really love to start wearing glasses again. Insurance/price is not a factor.

I am a professional who uses the computer a lot, 37 inches away from screen.
I read a LOT.
I also teach and train a lot.
I have -10.50 in one eye, -7.50 in the other with astigmatism and new reading need of +1.25 in one eye and +2.00 in the other.
my optician suggests a Pentax short channel lens.

Can You Have Astigmatism Without Having Vision Problems (nearsightedness / Farsightedness)?

I have really bad astigmatism, and it’s worsened 70% in one year. I’m also farsighted. The doctor fitted me with SO many different pairs of contacts for astigmatism, and they were all painful and didn’t fit properly. (He said it was because my eyes were different?) Right now, I wear Acuvue soft contacts, so I’m wondering if I can get glasses to go over the contacts (just to wear in school, not all the time)? Personally, I don’t think my astigmatism is horrible, because I can still see (with Acuvue contacts), but the doctor thinks I should do something about it.

I don’t think there are any eye exercises. but there are a few things you can do to help improve your eyesight.
You need to take vision breaks i.e. after looking at near objects like when reading or on the computer take a break and look at far away objects like trees or buildings far away.
I practiced a few facial/eye massages but I’m not sure if that helps eyesight. It will probably help your eye bags and dark circles. Close your eyes, apply eye gel underneath your eyes. 1st massage the area just above the brow. Start from the area above your nose and go outwards. Then massage your temples. Go in circles, slowly. Next pinch the flesh underneath your eyes. Do it gently, not hard. Then using the ball of your pointer and middle finger, gently yet firmly massage horizontally 1 inch below your eyes. Start from the nose outwards.
Then following the curve of your eyes, start from your nose, go outwards. You should feel the bones of your eye sockets.
At no point should you touch your eyeballs with your bare hands.
