Convert Toric Prescription To Normal Prescription?

There are these contacts i would like to purchase (cosmetic) just to go out and wear them ocasionally.. the problem is i have astigmatism and wear toric lenses. My prescription is -2.75,what would happen if i get them non toric?? Will i see too blurry?? Help! It is only for cosmetic purposes! Thankyou!

New To Wearing Contacts – Is This Normal?

I’ve never worn contacts until this last Sat. I’d gotten new glasses with the same prescription as the contacts. Things with the glasses are clear as a bell. With the contacts, from the second I put them on, things go in and out of being blurry. Things I could read with my glasses become hard to read or even unreadable with my contacts. It’s better than not having anything on, but is that normal? It is day three. Up to 6 hours. I do have astigmatisms in both eyes. Is this difference common for new wearers? Thanks!

Contacts Help Is This Normal Very Very Slightly Blurred Vision Once In A While?

i just got contacts for the first time a few days ago. the docotr said i have a very mild astigmatism and the astigmatism contacts would not make a difference to me. most of the time the contacts are great only sometimes when i am reading up close it is slightly blurry. since this only happens once in awhile is it that the contacts have moved, need to be cleaned, or something else? i know i should go back to see the doc if there are problems so any other advice

Is This Normal With New Contacts?

I am wearing contacts for the first time. I am nearsighted and have astigmatism. This is day two of the contacts and my vision goes from being clear to blurry for a bit than back to clear. Is it because I am new to contacts and my eyes are adjusting or am I sadly unable to wear them? Other than that they feel fine.

Is It Normal For My Toric Contact Lense To Slide Down?

I just got contact lenses last Tuesday and I wear a Toric lense in my left eye because of my astigmatism. I can see great (although my left eye is occasionally slightly blurred for a moment), but I can always sort of feel my Toric lense, and it seems to be slid down a bit from my iris (isnt that the colored part of the eye??). My left eye isnt uncomfortable (and I’m sure that the contact is put in correctly), it’s just that on my right eye, the contact is lined up perfectly all the time and i can’t feel it. Is this normal for my Toric lense to be slid down some?

Is It Normal To Be Both Nearsighted And Farsighted?

I am farsighted in one eye, and nearsighted in the other, so I have a weird prescription. I also have astigmatism. My right eye isn’t very bad, but my left is. Is it normal to have this type of sight?

Can Someone With Astigmatism Wear Normal Lenses Without Damaging Their Eyes ?

There was a similar question to this but it didn’t answer what I want to know. I want to wear costume contacts for a special event, but I don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars for one pair of custom torics. I know that torics are weighted so the lenses do not shift and you can see better with them, but are they actually shaped different from normal lenses to fit eyes with astigmatism? In this case I don’t care if the normal lenses let me see clearly. I just want to know if the shape of the normal lenses would damage my eyes. Thank you.

Is This Normal With Astigmatism?

I just found out I have astigmatism back in November. Before my diagnoses, I was getting headaches all over my head. Since I got my glasses, I don’t get the headaches. Today, I forgot my glasses and got a headache only on my right side (right eye has astigmatism). The headache is worse when I lay down. I know the solution is to put my glasses on, but my question is, has anyone else experienced this?

Is It Normal For New Contacts To Be Dry And Blurry?

I just started wearing contacts yesterday. I have a slight astigmatism in my right eye and I am near-sighted. The eye doctor said that I should buy rewetting drops. I can see far but when I look at things close-up, it’s really blurry and I have to keep blinking and adjust to it. I was just wondering if this is normal cause I just started wearing contacts and my eyes are dry.
