Any Opticians Here? Why Has My Astigmatism Shifted In 3 Months?

Got new prescription and glasses at Christmas. Right lens updated as astigmatism had moved back to where it used to be, left eye had hardly changed. Now 3 months later my left eye is blurred with my new glasses on, but tilting them 15-20% all comes back into focus.
Is this normal? What is causing it, and am I going to be forking out for new eye tests and lenses every 3 months for the rest of my life?

It seems that people who need glasses are caught between a rock and hard place. People like myself who need glasses but never wear them are told that this is bad for the eyes, that the eyesight would only worsen. YET, if we start wearing glasses, the space between the eyeball and the glasses lens can actually be bad for the eyes. (I don’t know how else to explain it, except that contact lenses are the best as there is almost no space between the eyeball and the lens) Again, what about people who cannot wear contact lenses due to having sensitive eyes. What is the true story here? I want to sort the nonsense from the fact before getting new glasses. (The old ones give me headaches and thus are of the wrong prescription.) For the record, I have astigmatism.

My eyesight has got progressively worse over the last few years. Bad eyesight runs in the family, my cousin is blind in one eye. I also have a lot of floaters and have increasing trouble seeing in the dark.
Are these normal problems for short sighted people or are my eyes going to continue getting worse?
Any Opticians? Wear Non Toric Contact Lens And Adjust Sph To Compensate For Astigmatism?

I just had an eye test for new glasses today but I also wear contact lenses. My new prescription shows I have astigmatism in my left eye; Sphere -3.00, cylinder -.75 and axis 175. My optician said that it was borderline on needing to wear a toric contact lens but I would probably still be ok with the normal ones I’ve been wearing if they felt ok etc. I usually order my lenses online and then have them checked for fit. If I want to order just normal lenses (not toric) do I just order -3.00? I read somewhere about changing this number slightly to make up for astigmatism?
Thanks
