I Just Gotten A Pair Of Trial Contacts And I Have Astigmatism…???

i never knew i had it but i think the trials helped astigmatism. the brand is purevision i think. so after many tries i finally got them in, they were all moist and cleaned and everything so i knew that after a few minutes or whatever they would settle down and not be so irratible. so i had them in for like about 5 or 6 hours but they were uncomfortable. they’d go from clear to blurry to clear again and everytime i moved my eyes i can feel them and everything. my eyes were also like dry and no matter how much of that solution thing i would put in my eye, it would always help for a minute or two and go back to how it was. is this normal and do i still have to get used to them??? like in a week or two, should i not feel it anymore??? are they too big or something because i was going to call the doctor again but i just wanted to see if is deal-able-with. by the way im 14 going on 15. thanx.

Was at the eye doctor and they gave me a trial pair of Air Optix for Astigmatism. I looked online and they seem to be very expensive. Im looking for the cheapest pair I can that will work for me. I am 22 and pay rent and a lot of other bills. Im moving soon so need to save for other things like security. Do they have to say Astigmatism in the name or how else do I search to find ones for an Astigmatism. Ive been looking on www.lens.com. Thank you for the help

I have had the trial pair of contacts for almost 3 weeks now.
I Just got the actual prescription ones on Friday. It’s Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism.. I have no idea when to start using the prescribed ones.
It doesn’t say on the package either how long they last for.. Which is kind of irritating.
I would call my doctor but they wouldn’t answer.. Not open today?

Yes….wearing a lens longer than recommended deprives the eye of oxygen. The cornea will begin to swell slightly and grow blood vessels where none should be. The prescription worsens gradually, known as myopic creep, as a result. In the worse case scenario, you grow blood vessels across your cornea so that’s all you see, you compromise the corneal integrity, get ulcers and scars so that lose vision. In short, it is best to wear the lenses as directed….generally 2 weeks for these lenses.

I have never worn contacts before, but am about to get them. I would like to know:
Exactly what do I get when I order them…how many per box and how many weeks does 1 box of each eye cover?
What type of cost am I looking for (like $70 for 3 months…what?)?
Etc…someone please help!
