Price For Glasses To Correct Astigmatism ?

I have a pretty severe astigmatism in my right eye. I’ve had the same glasses since before I got married (3 years ago) and was still covered on my mom’s insurance. Since I married a man in the Army, I’m covered by tricare, but tricare only covers the exam. Let’s say the frame I buy is only $100, how expensive with the RX lens be to go with?

Price Of Contacts And Where To Buy Them?

Do the price of contacts vary based on the severity of your astigmatism? I have major astigmatism so I was wondering if contacts would cost more than a person with mild astigmatism. 1800CONTACTS seems to show a fixed price for all toric lenses but some of my friends say that price does vary.
Also, where do you buy your lenses? I think buying online seems to be the most convenient but I’m worried about quality. What’s your experience in this? Thanks in advance.

Dont Have Eye Insurance And Need Cheap Price For Decent Contact Lenses And Checkup?

I will not have eye insurance until next year nad my budget is tight. Does anyone know a place that has accurate but cheap check ups? How much is the contact lens checkup without insurance? Also, after the check up and using the trial cotacts, when I want to purchase my contacts, does anyone know of a cheap store/website? I have astigmatism on one of my eyes and so contacts are expensive…plus I have to buy them separately for each eye! I really need help…when my parents called my optician she said that after the check up, trials, another checkup (to see how i am doing) and the cost of astigmatism contacts without insurance will end up being over $150. I do not want to spend anything over $125 fo the checkups, trial, and a half year supply of contacts.
