What Are My Options For Correcting My Vision Problems?

My optometrist prescribed toric lenses but i have different astigmatisms in each eye. i notice a difference in vision in each eye. it’s very uncomfortable and little blurry. i don’t have this issue with glasses. i know my tennis game suffers but i still don’t like glasses since i don’t have peripheral vision. my optometrist said this problems was inherent to toric lenses. does anyone have any advice? are there goggles that i can use for tennis maybe that will give me peripheral vision. any advice would be appreciated. note, surgery not an option

I’m Having Serious Eye Problems. Just Went To The Eye Doctor!?

I’m 17 years old, I just went to the eye doctor a few weeks ago, and they found minor astigmatism in my left eye, and gave me really minor prescription glasses. everything was fine after that.
two nights ago, I had a serious panic attack from stress–I was dizzy for hours and needed to be in a dark room for the rest of the night. when i woke up yesterday, everything was blurry. It even seems like the glasses make long distance vision WORSE! I have no problem reading up close, but seeing anything from about 10 feet or further is almost impossible!
I don’t understand how this could have happened overnight, and the panic attack may be completely irrelavent, but it’s all so weird. I haven’t worn the glasses since yesterday. I was hoping that when I woke up today it would be gone but it wasn’t!
I should also mention that I am diabetic, because that can affect vision over time but my blood sugars are good, and nothing like that should happen overnight like it did! help please!

I Have Been Having Eye Problems?

okay, so in one of my classes, i sit in the back. when my teacher writes on the board, she usually writes big enough that i can see it. when she types on the smart-board, it really blurry to me. am i having eye problems? my dad and brother have astigmatism.

Eye Focusing Problems And Dark Vision?

for a while now, ive been getting dark vision and dizzy when i stand, as if i blinked slowly. lately, maybe within the past week, ive also been having trouble focusing my eyes with no pattern as to when this shows up, neither brightness nor distance of where im looking. im wondering if this could be related? im 15, have astigmatism (i wear both contacts and glasses), and lately have also been feeling tired and stressed. what could be some possible causes of this? i believe my mother has meniere’s disease, could i be showing signs of this at an early age?

Eye Problems?

i have a high numbers in both eyes of astigmatism 275, 325 i was thinking of getting laser done, i bet it would be a lot of money ,plus I’m 46 and starting to have to wear bifocal very small percent I’m thinking of having a consultation , do you think i could have it done with the astigmatism and needing bifocals?

Eye Problems??

Im 17. I have astigmatism so my eyes are pretty bad! lol. Lately i have been seeing wierd things though. I’m not sure how to describe this,so please bare with me! Ok,you know when you close your eyes? And you see all of those different colors swirling around. And if you leave them closed long enough they get more clear,and then when you open your eyes it all you see for a minute until they adjust? Well i see that ALL THE TIME. I can’t even go to the movies,because in the dark all i see are all those darn swirly colors. And in the pitch dark,when i close my eyes and open them it stays the same. The colors are always the same whether my eyes are opened or closed. Is this a symptom of an eye problem,or am i just trippin? lol. info is appreciated!

Problems With Contact Lenses!!?

I have astigmatism on both of my eyes to start with! And every time i put my contacts on, after a while they get really dry and itchy! I have tried everything to keep it from happening and nothing works! Any suggestions?
Apart from that when I don’t use my contacts I feel really dizzy, and my head hurts alot! Sometimes I even feel nauseous! DOes anyone know why that happens?

Can You Have Astigmatism Without Having Vision Problems (nearsightedness / Farsightedness)?

I have really bad astigmatism, and it’s worsened 70% in one year. I’m also farsighted. The doctor fitted me with SO many different pairs of contacts for astigmatism, and they were all painful and didn’t fit properly. (He said it was because my eyes were different?) Right now, I wear Acuvue soft contacts, so I’m wondering if I can get glasses to go over the contacts (just to wear in school, not all the time)? Personally, I don’t think my astigmatism is horrible, because I can still see (with Acuvue contacts), but the doctor thinks I should do something about it.

Contact Lens Problems!!?

I have got astigmatism and i recently got a trial pair from USA. And yes it was prescribed. Now when i tried it on, everything was blurry especially things that were far away. And it was moving while blinking. Do toric lens have to be fitted by the doctor the first time? I heard toric lens have special markings. Is there anything else that can be done coz i cant go back all the way to usa for that.

Contact Lens Prescription Problems?

I was fitted for contact lenses for the first time on Dec. 15. My Rx for glasses is: Left eye, -4.75; Right eye, -4.50. The contacts were -4.50 for both eyes. At my followup appt., I told the doc that I had difficulty reading (esp. on the computer), and that my right eye was where the difficulty was coming from. So he bumped that eye up to -4.75. I’m still having difficulty with reading, so I’m going to try to get an appt. again. My left eye is perfect with the contact, and I want the same for both eyes, obviously. Is this a normal occurance when being fitted for contacts for the first time? I feel like if I go back and try a new Rx, the doc will take them away and tell me to go back to glasses. Has anybody else had these kind of problems? By the way, he said my eyes were healthy with the lenses and I evidentally do not have astigmatism, because no eye dr. I’ve gone to in my life said anything about it.
