My prescription is as follows RE Sphere +850 cylinder -250 axis 176 LE Sphere +875 cylinder -250 axis 004 and I believe both eyes have astigmatism?

Hi, I’m only 16 right now but I’m considering laser eye surgery once I reach my 20’s. My eye-sight is pretty bad: -6.50 in my left along with mild astigmatism and -7.00 on the other (probably worse now, about to have my annual eye exam). I don’t have any other health/eye problems.
Do I qualify for eye surgery? Is there like a limitation on how bad your eye-sight can reach before surgery is no longer possible? And how do I prevent it from getting progressively worse?
