Can Nearsighted Presbyopics Wear Contacts And Reading Glasses?

My left eye is 20/300 with -1.0 astigmatism. My right eye is 20/4.50 with -.50 astigmatism. At 44, I am getting presbyopic. I need +1.50 reading glasses over my contacts. Is this a good idea or would I be better off with bifocals? And what about mid distance? Where is the cutoff? I’m so confused!

Can I Just Buy Over The Counter Reading Glasses Instead Of Filling My Glasses Rx?

I just got a prescription for glasses- Dr said that I should use them anytime I am reading, on the computer, watching tv etc. My rx is +1.25 in both eyes and astigmatism in my right eye only -50. Would I be able to buy over the counter reading glasses and get the same results?

as told many years ago that I had this condition but it has gotten progressively worse in the last 5 years. I am not able to afford an eye doctor at this point and time so any response is appreciated.

I Am Trying To Find A Comfortable Contact Lenses For Reading And Distance But I Also Have Astigmatism.?

There aren’t any contacts made to take care of both problems. Does anyone have the same problem, and have you found contacts that are comfortable? I have tried Bausch and Lomb multi focal and they made my eyes dry out to fast. I tried Accuvue for astigmatism with one contact for distance and one for reading and they were more comfortable and didn’t dry out as much, but I haven’t been able to adjust to the different vision in both eyes. Thanks for any suggestions!

With Contacts Can I Correct An Astigmatism In One Eye And Somehow Have Reading In The Other One.?

I have recently had surgery on one of my eyes and the vision was corrected to 20/20 and my astigmatism was corrected also. I was wondering if I could get a contact to correct the astigmatism in the other eye and at the same time correct for my reading.
