My Contacts Sometimes Make My Eye Red, But Not Really Irritated?

I’m going to call my optometrist of course.
The thing is I want to see if anyone else here has had this problem too.
I have an astigmatism. So supposedly, contacts are BARELY reaching the point to allow people with astigmatisms to wear them. Well, supposedly my left eye has more of an astigmatism than my right eye. My left eye is the one that gets red though. It’s not like the whites of my eyes get red, just more blood vessels start to show. Is that suppose to be a normal for contact wearers? As long as it doesn’t hurt is it normal?

Okay so i was told that i have astigmatism, and a right lazy eye. Will contacts keep my lazy eye in place as well as helping me see as if i were wearing glasses? PLEASE GIVE ME SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY! And i would also appreciate it if you recommend a brand of contact lenses. if you want me to be more specific with something just ask me while your answering. Thanks in advance!

They’re supposed to be the same prescription as my glasses, but I still feel like I need reading glasses or something. Sometimes it’s almost like the contact isn’t fully covering my eye, when I know it is and eye drops don’t really help. They’re Acuvue Oasys with hydraclear and I’ve been wearing them since June. Maybe I’m just not used to them yet, or maybe I dunno. Any ideas? Also note, that I’m farsighted and I do not have an astigmatism…

I have really bad astigmatism….and a few months back I got glasses.I couldn’t get contacts because my eyes are too small,and my eye doctor won’t let me use smaller lenses because the astigmatism is really bad.I wore the glasses every now and then,but I lost them about a month or two ago. I squint a lot…I have an appointment with the eye doctor next month….But I am feeling brief stabs of pain in my right eye.Is this just because I haven’t worn any glasses?? Am I in immediate need right now of glasses??

i have always wanted contacts. i was born with a crossed eye and docs fixed it as a result my astigmatism is very very high.
Where can i get contacts, do they even sell contacts for ppl with a very high astigmatism, and how much do they cost.

Is there any other kind of contact Lens that I can use besides that? Ive worn that brand for 10 years now, but Im wondering if there is anything more comfortable. I thought I would get some suggestions before going to the eye doctor so I can ask him about them.
