Do Colorblend Toric And Regular Freshlooks Colorblends Look The Same?

I currently wear the clear toric and find them thicker than the regular (non-toric) lenses. Years ago, I used to wear regular Freshlook colorblends. I really want to start using color contacts again, but I now have the astigmatism problem. Do the Toric coloblends look the same as the regular colorblends? or can you notice the thinkness of the toric? I really dont want to spend the money if I am not going to like them (torics are more expensive)
Is Vision Insurance Like Regular Health Insurance In That You May Not Be Covered If You Already Have Glasses?

It’s hard to get health insurance if you have an existing problem. Is it also hard to get vision insurance like this?
I have never had vision insurance, but hope to get it soon. I am nearsighted in one eye and have astigmatism in the other, which are pretty common problems; but, even common problems make normal insurance difficult!
What Happens If I Wear A Regular Contact Lens Instead Of A Toric Lens?

I recently went in to get contacts for the first time and was told I would need a toric lens for my left eye because of a slight astigmatism. So I was given a toric lens for my left eye and a regular lens for my right eye. A week later I could see just fine with my right eye and still blurry in the eye with the toric lens. So I went back and was re-examined, and given a different toric lens to try. Still blurry in that eye. The problem is every time I blink or get up and move around the lens shifts or something and distorts my vision very badly. The question is, what would happen if I just used a regular lens instead of a toric lens. Seeing as how my glasses never corrected for my astigmatism and I could see just fine would the same be true for contacts or would it not work seeing as how the contact actually rests on the eye? Thanks
Toric Lenses Vs. Regular Lenses?

I got a prescription for contact lenses a while ago and found out that I have astigmatism. While I was looking at lenses online, I noticed that toric lenses were a lot more costly that regular lenses.
I was wondering if it would be okay to get regular lenses with the following prescription:
OD: -0.75 -1.00×180
OS: -1.75 -1.00×180
Also, the lenses I saw online had either -0.75 or -1.25 cylinders but not -1.00. Are there any specific brands that offer -1.00?
I had to pay $100 just to get the exam and prescription so please don’t tell me to go back to the doctor and ask them. I’m not made of money.
I Hate Astigmatism Contact Lenses! I Wanna Wear Regular Ones.?

I recently started wearing toric contact lenses for my astigmatism on my left eye and I hate it!! Every time I blink my vision gets blurry because the contact moves. I feel my vision was better using regular lenses. Is it normal for toric lenses to be like that? My vision is clear half the time and blurry the rest. Its really annoying. I’m thinking of just wearing my old regular lenses instead. What do you guys suggest?
Can You Get Contact Lenses For Astigmatism That Are As Effective And Reliable As Regular Eye Glasses?

Yes. They are called Toric lenses. They are made to specifically fit your eye prescription. Once your eye doc has the info. s/he will send it to the lab. Usually takes a few weeks.
Two drawbacks – they are thicker and minimally more “rubber-like”; also tend not to totally alleviate light halos during night driving.
I had toric lenses for over 5 years and was extremely satisfied.
You can go to your local Lenscrafters, see the eye doc and have them ordered that day.
Best wishes.
Optometrist Said I Got A Small Astigmatism, But Its Low Enough That I Can Use Regular Contacts, Is This True?

My old prescription used to be:
LEFT – Bausch & Lomb SofLens Toric:
BC: 8.5
SPH: -4.00
CYL: -1.25
AX: 180
RIGHT – Acuvue 2:
BC: 8.3
DIA: 14.0
D: -4.50
i just got an eye exam yesterday and my new prescription is this:
LEFT:
Spherical: -4.00
Cylindrical: -1.50
Axis: 010
Right:
Spherical: -4.00
Cylindrical: -0.50
Axis: 160
Is this kind of change possible? He said that it went down/got better.. but also that before i didnt have an astigmatism in my right eye, but now i do? he also said that my right eye’s astigmatism is really low, so if i wanted i could continue using the same type of contacts (just w/ a lower prescription) since it took me a while to find the right contacts that didnt irritate my eye?
thanks
I Have Astigmatism. If I Don’t Buy Toric Lenses (only The Regular Contact Lenses), What Could Happen?

I only have a mild astigmatism.
If I were to buy normal contact lenses and wear them everyday, are there anything harmful that could happen to my eyes?

Will it damage my eye to wear regular contacts in general?

Actually it depends on the brand. Some are a little more expensive, but others are about the same.
