I Think I Have An Astigmatism But The Optician Says My Eyes Are Fine…?

Basically, my eyes just don’t seem as good as they used to so I did an online eye test (I know your not supposed to but you know). Anyway, I did this test http://www.perret-optic.ch/optometrie/te… and it says I have a astigmatism. I say two out of 4 of the bottom squares as grey and the lines are different shades of grey.
I went to the Optician’s a few weeks ago (after doing this test) and they gave me a full eye exam including what I think was an astigmatism test (5/6 red dots in a circle) and asked me if they were all the same shade of red. I said they were and she said that meant I didn’t have an astigmatism…but how come the online test says I do?
Thanks
Optician Says Contact Lenses Will Look ‘too Blurry’?

Filed under FAQ on advance for astigmatism
I have mild long-sightedness (just +0.50/+0.50) and slight astigmatism -0.5 in each eye.
I wear my glasses nearly all day as I work on computers and also need them to read music, books and to write essays etc; otherwise I get headaches and eyestrain. I found out that contact lenses are available in my current prescription, and like the idea of not needing my glasses.
So I went to the contact lens fitting guy, (not an optician) who said that without the astigmatism correction there would only be a mild prescription, and that they couldn’t correct my vision as sharply as my glasses do- the contact lenses “would be blurry”?
He said he could only help if my prescription was stronger, and suggested a new eye-test as my prescription was probably out of date.
Should I get a second opinion, or get another test to see if my vision is any worse?
Thanks

I Am Trying To Order Glasses Online As Well And The Rx That My Doctor Sent To Me Says: R -5.50 -25 X 83?

How do I read this? The clearly-contacts site is asking for the SPH which is -5.50 but then it is asking for the CYL which from what I understand is the astigmatism correction but it looks like my doctor is saying it is -25?? It only goes up to -3.75…..Then it also asks for a PD – is that the distance between my eyes??
