Nearsighted (my Eyes)..i Think I Also Have Astigmatism As Well?

so I am nearsighted..I can see things far as well..but blurry (readable blurry) and I was wondering if there is anything I can do to help my eyes get better, meaning like to keep my eye vision healthy without wearing glasses to much, I know as people age the eye vision will get worse…so any advice?

Shouldn’t Eyeglasses Make Each Eye See Equally Well?

I just got new reading glasses yesterday. For years my left eye has been far-sighted and my right near-sighted, although not to the extent that I need glasses all the time–just for reading. The optician also told me one of my eyes has an astigmatism, but I don’t know which one.
Each time I have gotten glasses I have noticed that the left lens never, never gives me the same vision quality as the right lens. This has happened every single time I’ve had an exam and had to get new glasses. The right eye is GREAT and I’m amazed at how out-of-focus life really was for me. But the left eye, compared to the right, is definitely not as clear. In fact, there is barely a difference between wearing the glasses and not for that eye.
Is this part of a corrective process, and my left eye will be better after a while? I’d really appreciate any info. I am 31.

How Is Astigmatism Different From Not Being Able To See Well?

There’s like some special contacts for people with astigmatism.
How is it difefrent than just not being able to see as sharply and clearly as you should?

Contact Lens Does Not Fit Well In The Eye?

I recently started using daily disposable lenses (Bousch&Lomb). I feel lens does not fit well on my iris. Wearing second time (new pair each time). I have astigmatism and optometrist gave the suitable lenses. It seems to hang on my iris. Lens covers my iris well from sides and bottom. At top its stays slightly above iris. So when I try to see at front with my chin to the chest I see blurred image. Second, I see cloudy image or shadow at the top of the monitor when I look at my computer screen. Am I wearing right contacts?

Will A Bc Of 8.7 Fit Me Well If My Bc Is 8.6?

I have astigmatism. My prescription says that my base curve is 8.6 with a diameter of 14.5. My doctor gave me a prescription for Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism but I really want to have Durasoft 3 Optifit Toric Colorblends with the same diameter but a base curve of 8.7.
I have a prescription for both because I kept insisting on having colored lenses. What should I do?

Contacts For Myopia As Well As Astigmatism?

I know that there are contacts for astigmatism and contacts for myopia and even some for severe myopia. But are there contacts for severe myopia AND moderate/severe astigmatism?
If it helps, my prescription is about -7.00 sph & -4.00 cyl

I Am Trying To Order Glasses Online As Well And The Rx That My Doctor Sent To Me Says: R -5.50 -25 X 83?

How do I read this? The clearly-contacts site is asking for the SPH which is -5.50 but then it is asking for the CYL which from what I understand is the astigmatism correction but it looks like my doctor is saying it is -25?? It only goes up to -3.75…..Then it also asks for a PD – is that the distance between my eyes??
