I’ve Worn Contacts For About 5 Or 6 Years And Got New Ones But Now My Eyes Dry Up And I Cant Wear Them.

I have been wearing contacts for about 5 or 6 years but recently got a new eye prescription and they told me they longer made the contacts I wear. I have tried a few new brands out but they simply dry out my left eye (it is a toric lens for astigmatism). Could I have a problem with my eye or am I just unable to get used to a different material in the lens itself? I cannot keep it in my left eye for more than a half hour but my right eye (normal contact) feels fine. I have been interning in a datacenter this summer which uses a complex air conditioning system and the problem has gotten worse since being here. Any ideas?

Are There Any Contacts That Are Good Years After Refractive Surgery?

I had keratotomy done on my eyes 13 yrs ago. I’m interested in contacts for my trouble seeing close up and my astigmatism. The trial pair that I tried on today did not work and nothing else was ordered.
