I have pretty bad vision with a slight astigmatism , and I would like to bring that up to perfect is this possible. I don’t know my sight but i do know my contact prescription is -5.75 in both eyes and the astigmatism is so minor its not even being corrected. Any help would be nice because I want to be a Marine pilot and I know i need damn near perfect vision and I would like to do what Tiger Woods did and get 20/15 that would be great.
Go for a consultation and they will tell you. I had -6.50 on both eyes with astigmatism -2 and -1.5 and they gave me a 20/20 vision guarantee. However, because my eyesight was so bad, they did tell me there was a 1 in 4 chance I might need a touch up to get there, which is free because they guaranteed it.
Some people will have perfect vision right away after surgery but for some, they start off a bit blurry. It’s been 2 weeks for me now and my left eye is close to perfect but my right is a bit blurry so maybe that one will need the touch up. If you do need a touch up, they will not do it until 3 months later so you might want to plan for that possibility.
They can fix it to 20/20 or 20/15. A lot depends though on your age. The best thing to do is go into a free consultation that most of the eye surgeons offer and find out for sure if you are a good canidate. You’ll be happy that you had it done.
