Hi everyone, I have never gotten contact lenses before, and I just wanted to know if they make disposable contact lenses for my degree of astigmatism in my left eye. Here is my prescription:
OD -2.75-1.75*160
OS -2.75-2.75*170
What brand of toric contact lenses do you guys recommended? thanks.

I believe the cylinder does not usually go higher than -2.50 for disposable contacts. According to my optometrist, cylinders higher than that don’t usually accomodate well to regular soft contacts and RGPs (hard contacts) are often recommended.
The left eye is the one concerning me. You may be able to try one with a -2.25 or -2.50 cyl to see how much clarity you can get. I like the B&L Soflens 66 Toric. They’re a little thicker than the Acuvue Toric and a bit easier to handle for a first time wearer.
For about a year and a half I used Vertex Toric by CooperVision (monthlies). They were a little thick (as most toric lenses usually are) so they were less breathable and became quite uncomfortable by the end of the day. Just last week I switched to Bausch&Lomb’s Soflens Toric (bi-monthlies). They feel much lighter and breathable so far but I’ve only had them on for a few days. Also, I don’t know if you have a thing against Bausch&Lomb or anything because of the whole Renu thing. But to me, they’re perfectly fine at the moment…and I have pretty bad eyes.
My prescription:
R -4.50 -1.25 10
L -5.00 -1.25 170
try Fresh look
